Six items from Oracle of Ages you can find during the first act of the apocalypse.
Ringbox L-2: After getting the smallest ringbox, Link can buy this larger ringbox in the Lynna City Shop for a whopping 300 rupees. The medium-sized ring box can hold up to three different magical rings, but Link can still only equip one of them at any given time.
In the lead up to any apocalypse in the United States of America, people will hoard unnecessary things. This is especially true of guns. Gun safes around the country will become overstuffed with firearms and ammunition. This will be especially helpful for the wasteland survivors that will eventually break into the safes as they fight to survive in the post-apocalyptic wreckage of the world.
Ringbox L-3: The largest ringbox can only be acquired in a linked game. Link must pass a secret from a woodland girl to twins in Symmetry Village to earn the largest and final ringbox. This box can hold five rings from Link’s collection.
Money may not be able to buy everything, but it can purchase a seat in a hermetically sealed bunker designed as a safe place to wait out the worst parts of the apocalypse with other rich and influential people. Each bunker’s location is kept secret and they can only be accessed via the massive vault door designed to withstand a nuclear detonation. What the company responsible for these bunkers never advertised was that many of these sites were designed to enact irresponsible and often illegal social experiments on the captive inhabitants.
Magic Ring: Link can find loads of magic rings during his adventures in Labrynna. They can be found inside of gasha nuts, dropped by Maple the witch, won in mini-games, or he can simply purchase them from shops. When they are first found, magic rings are unidentified and provide no benefit. Link must visit Vasu the Jeweler to have each ring identified individually before they can be used. There are 64 different rings for Link to collect, many with wondrous effects when worn.
The next set of items is not the items from Oracle of Seasons. The next set is actually the complete set of rings shared by the two Oracles games.
Members of the Order of the Ouroboros know that ends are simply preludes to new beginnings. This forward-thinking attitude leads the group's members to be offended when they are referred to as a doomsday cult. They are not eager for the coming apocalypse, rather they seek to usher the world to, and through, the tumultuous phase as quickly as possible to attain the glorious future promised by their prophets.
Poe Clock: This clock is the first item in the Oracle of Ages trading quest. He is given the spiritual clock by Allan the friendly ghost after Link moves Allan’s headstone in the Yoll graveyard. The tombstone is blocking Allan’s path into the afterlife. They give Link this clock as a token of their thanks before heading into the newly available great beyond.
While the Earth may be at the precipice of a terrestrial apocalypse, it is not yet time for the total destruction of the universe. In a secret vault beneath the deepest cellars of Valhalla, there is a room filled with oracular devices commissioned by Odin to determine the exact moment of Ragnarok. One such device can foretell when great disasters are imminent in any of the nine realms.
Stationary: Link trades Allan’s clock to the Postal Officer in the Lynna Village Post Office for some stationary. The mail-carrier then bolts out the door somehow only then realizing that they are late.
The threat of an apocalypse reveals the honest truth of a person’s character. Are you a good person that puts toilet paper on the roll hanging over or are you the monstrous sort of person that installs the roll hanging under the roll? Are you the socially responsible sort that buys only what they need or do you unnecessarily hoard toilet paper in some vain attempt to pacify your anxiety?
----------
Don't hoard toilet paper. Don't hoard anything.
Coronavirus has left me at home with less to do than usual. That means I finally finished the drawings for all the items in Oracle of Seasons. There are 129 item cards ready and waiting to be shared. You will have to wait to see them since, as I said above, the next set of items will be a whole bunch of magic rings.
I also wanted to point out that I missed my two year anniversary on this platform. It happened at the beginning of March and I totally forgot. Happy second birthday Speaking Squid, you are a wonderful distraction from an emotionally demanding world.
Please use my work personally however you see fit, but do not profit off my efforts without my consent.
Be excellent to everyone.
