 Wind Waker: Some haunted fruit.

Hyoi Pear: These pears are irresistible to the many seagulls of the Great Sea. Link can use the pears to lure in and then possess a seagull, taking control of the bird to pick up out of reach items or flip inaccessible switches. Once Link has a bait bag, he can purchase these pears from Beedle the Merchant.

These pears are specially cultivated by the soultenders of the Sepulchral City to temporarily host the souls of the recently deceased. Some funerary rites see the souls reintroduced into the body after all necessary preparations are made. During that ritual preparation, the soul must reside somewhere, and the soultenders have found that these firm pears are perfect for the task.

That was Drewly 2022. I really enjoyed posting so much of my work that had just been sort of lingering in storage. I had held off on posting much of it because it wasn’t my favorite work or it didn’t fit into whatever new meme was blazing across the internet. Wind Waker: A saccharine wand.

A saccharine wand.

Bonus Honey Wands: Last week we covered all-purpose bait with a honey pot. This week is a bonus item related to the honey pot rather than a specific item from Wind Waker.

When the user of this wand says the command word, the end of the wand produces a slow stream of honey until commanded to stop. This wand secretly siphons honey from a mega-hive somewhere in the multiverse. The bees of that hive have been searching the many planes of existence to bring the honey thief to justice.

Wind Waker: A honey pot.

A honey pot.

All-Purpose Bait: As the name suggests, all-purpose bait is used to lure many different creatures in Link’s adventures through the Great Sea. The bait can incentivize rats and pigs to help Link, but its most beneficial use is to lure up Fishmen who can expand Link’s navigational charts and give him helpful hints about what the nearby area contains. Link must have a Bait Bag before being allowed to buy bait from Beedle’s shop, Tingle, or enterprising rats.

Some rituals rely on the power that most people just believe that they work. One such ritual is the luring of male spirits using a honey pot. Arcanists and researchers cannot explain why, but you can almost always catch the attention of such a spirit using a honey pot.
