Drewly: Fate cutting shears

 Fate cutting shears

Fate cutting shears: These small scissors were forged by an anonymous benefactor as a gift to a child destined to be sacrificed. They are sharp enough to cut through even the strands of fate. Clipping their tether to the sacrifice, the child became a fateless hero, able to steer their own way across the fabric of destiny.

Today is the last day of drewly. A month-long celebration of everything we’ve been able to make. Thank you so much for sharing the month with me and my work.

Now that we are done looking back at what we have made, go out and make something new! Everyone has the potential to create inside of them, nurture that spark by making what you want to see more of in the world.

Drewly: Spoon Wand

 Spoon Wand

Spoon: In the hands of most, this is a simple spoon. In the hands of the vengeful, this spoon is a discrete implement of punishment that can cast fear and ill fortune on the wicked.

Today’s drewly post is one of nine domestic wands I imagined a simple mage might use in their everyday life.

Drewly: Fork of Horrible Madness

 Fork of Horrible Madness

Fork of Horrible Madness: Just holding this simple-looking fork makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. It almost whispers to you, but that would be crazy, It's just a fork.

Drewly is inspired by the Fork of Horripilation, a cursed artifact of a mad god.

Horripilation means when your hair stands up on end.

Drewly: Kitchen Knife

 Kitchen Knife

Kitchen Knife: Mamma Cassi runs her crew out of her kitchen and she is never seen without one of her big knives. Most people think the knives are just for adding a general sense of danger, and they are, but they are also Mamma's wands. Mamma Cassi is both an accomplished crime boss and a member of a secret coven of witches, both of which require minions and sacrifices.

My wands project continues, and drewly is where a lot of those wands get shared.

The Minish Cap: Haunted Candelabra

 Haunted Candelabra

Fire Element: Atop Mount Crenel, deep in the Cave of Flames, the Fire Element is guarded by a turtle dragon that Link must defeat. After defeating the beast, Link can take the Earth and Fire elements to the Elemental Sanctuary and begin the reforging of the Picori blade. With two elements, the newly dubbed white sword has the power to split Link into two copies.

This candelabra was recovered from a supposedly haunted manor. According to local gossip, the lord of the manor was cursed, and so were all of his unfortunate servants. The candelabra is certainly a curio, as its candles never burn lower, and it has a habit of tipping towards beautiful women.

Lumier is a surprisingly lecherous character for a kids' movie. I guess that is probably a problematic stereotype of the French manifesting in children's media.

If you are worried about Lumier being lonely, Cogsworth is going to eventually show up in this set, so he will just have to be patient.

Drewly today is my normal weekly item card post, where I post drawings inspired by all the items in all the Zelda games. I am currently posting the items from The Minish Cap. I’ve got complete sets for the first 11 Zelda games and a bunch of other item sets already posted here.

Shotgun: Oroborous Industries is your premier source for firearms you can rely on. Sure, you could buy from Marrow Arms or even an unaffiliated gunsmith, but why risk your safety?

If you are saying to yourself, that symbol looks like something from Fullmetal Alchemist, you are right. I was drawing these two items while watching anime.

Drewly: Flask of distilled sunlight

 Flask of distilled sunlight

Flask of distilled sunlight: Distilled sunlight is being pumped directly into the corporeal form of a vampiric bat god to keep it in a catatonic state so that blasphemous vampire researchers can use the god’s blood to make super soldiers. 

Sometimes I take an item card that is already published and alter it slightly to better fit my campaign. Drewly is a great time to share those slight changes without feeling like I am cheating on a weekly post.

Drewly: Third Eye Lens

 Third Eye Lens

Third Eye Lens: When a person looks through all three of these lens they can peer into different planes, dimensions, and realities. The arrangement of lenses, down to the most minute distance, determines where you are able to perceive.

Drewly today is an item I gave my players so that they could see Chulhu and other eldritch horrors were out there and could be a problem in the future. Hopefully, the cults trying to attract their attention fail.

 Llama Potion

Llama Potion: The poison, the poison for Kuzco, the poison chosen specially to kill Kuzco, Kuzco’s poison. Turns out its actually llama extract.

Sometimes I just put on a movie and draw some props from that movie. That is how we have Emperor’s New Groove fan art for drewly today.

Drewly: Shepherd’s Journal

 Shepherd’s Journal

Shepherd’s Journal: A detailed account of a nomadic shepherd’s journey to the lost city of Atlantis. The shepherd’s account could be used to retrace their steps and once again find the lost city.

I really love Atlantis: The Lost Empire. I really love Mike Mignola. I really loved finding out that Mike Mignola did the major concept push for the movie and that the animators were told to study and adapt his style as best they could. Look for Mignola’s tell-tale hands; Atlantis has Mignola hands.
