Five items from Oracle of Age used during a dangerous heist.
Letter of Introduction: Link is given this letter by a friend of the Graceful Goron in exchange for some Lava Juice. After the proper introduction, the Graceful Goron will give Link the chance to earn the Mermaid Key by perfectly completing the Goron Dance.
As a kid, perfectly completing the Goron Dance mini-game was maddening. It took me forever and I still remember how relieved I was to be done.
This whole plan only works because we got our hands on a datapad with security clearance. With this datapad, we can see when and where the nuclear device is going to be transported. It is vital that we do nothing to disrupt the data pad’s secure connection so we are not able to dig as deeply into the servers at Ad Astra Technologies as we would like.
Cheval’s Rope: This rope was made by the Da Vinci-esque inventor Cheval who also created the flippers Link uses in Labrynna. Cheval wished to be of benefit to the people of the world so he toiled until his death to make a rope that wouldn’t deteriorate in water. He was successful, but, paradoxically, he hid the flippers and rope inside his tomb behind traps and puzzles to ensure only a true hero could earn the rope. I guess that making sure the rope is only used by a worthy hero ensures the rope helps civilization, but it does seem a bit odd.
Phase one of the plan is identifying at least one technician working at the classified nuclear facility that we can get leverage against. This unlucky technician will find themself tightly bound in the trunk while we have an agent slip into the facility with the technician’s borrowed credentials.
Tuni Nut: In Symmetry Village, balance is of paramount importance. In the past age, Veran cracks the Tuni Nut which causes a destabilizing imbalance that leaves the village at the brink of total destruction in the current age. Link must travel back in time to find the cracked nut. Once he has the nut, he must climb the Restoration Wall to meet the only person capable of mending the nut, Patch the mad hermit. Link must help Patch complete the restoration ceremony which involves pushing some big angry bugs into some holes while ensuring the item isn’t run over by an errant rail car. After the ritual is completed, the nut is made whole again and Link is able to return it to past era Symmetry Village. This ensures a peaceful future for the village.
We have a sleeper agent in the facility that we must get word to for this next part to work. Everything entering and leaving the facility goes through a thorough security screening. We found that the weak point in the screening is the lower level of scrutiny food is given, so that is how we will smuggle our message into the facility.
Bomb Flower: In Oracle of Ages, bomb flowers are powerful super bombs closer to the powder kegs of Majora’s Mask than the Link’s usual bomb. Link obtains the bomb flower by ousting the Great Moblin and destroying the Moblin Fortress in the Rolling Ridge. The Moblins had been hoarding the Goron’s prized bomb flowers.
Link is given a bomb flower as a token of thanks by the Gorons for freeing the bomb flowers. Link must then take this bomb flower into the past era and help the Goron people free the Goron Elder by giving them their first bomb flower. After freeing their elder, the Goron people are so fond of the bomb flowers that they plant the prized flowers all over the Rolling Ridge and honor Link as the source of bomb flowers. This, of course, leads to the Moblins setting up their fortress in the current era and hoarding all the bomb flowers. Which in turn leads to Link ousting the Great Moblin, destroying the fortress, and being rewarded by the Gorons with a bomb flower. Which of course means that we find ourselves in a time loop.
The entire goal of this operation is to secure the nuclear bomb currently being manufactured in the classified section of the facility. We only have one chance to switch the real bomb with one of the dummy bombs being shipped out at the same time to confuse anyone who might try and steal the device.

Hey y’all. Sorry about the disruptions lately. I got super sick last week, it probably wasn’t coronavirus, and didn’t feel up to really putting any effort into a post last week. This week I am in a similar situation. I’m not sick, but I am super busy with grad school so there won’t be links in this post until I get back around to updating the post when I have more time.
With the entire planet coming under threat of Covid-19 (coronavirus), I want to plug the idea that every person deserves equal and unrestricted access to health care and proper living conditions. We shouldn’t accept that some people should have worse lives simply because they were born into less privilege. Some people might say that this should be an apolitical space, but I don’t believe those exist. It is hard to have a hobby like ttrpg’s when you are worried about meeting your basic needs. Being able to spend as much time on my hobbies as I do is a privilege and I want to recognize that.
With that in mind, make sure you are excellent to everyone.
