I'm not an artist: Five fish from Majora’s Mask 3D that are the secret ingredient.

Five fish from Majora’s Mask 3D that are the secret ingredient.

Fairy Fish: The fairy fish makes its home around the platforms of the Ocean Fishing Hole in Majora’s Mask 3D. The fish is described as moving like a stray fairy. With that information, Link can catch this fish while wearing the Great Fairy's Mask. He must be using a sinking lure on any day as this fish stays in the deep water.

The scales of this prismatic fish are an irresistible bait to the more impulsive sprites and pixies that make their homes in dangerous swamps. These are the fey that attempt to lure wanderers off the safe path with magical lights and confusing sounds. For travelers hoping to cross these swamps successfully, they should make a fairy catcher as quickly as possible to catch a local fairy and force it to lead them to safety.

Goodta Goby: This fish loves the feeling of the sun shining on its golden scales and as such makes its home in the shallow waters of the Ocean Fishing Hole. While this fish loves the sun’s shinings rays, it seems the moon’s rays are good enough because it can be caught during any time of day.

Known as the gouda goby, this fish is an exceptional pair with the smokey gouda becoming so popular in the parties of the noble courts. While local fishing communities are enjoying the boost in prosperity, the farming communities that had been blossoming under the noble’s fascination with pairing the cheese with fruit. The cheese fad has far outlasted any other swing in noble tastes, and many believe it is because of secret lobbying by cheesemongers to the heads of noble kitchens.

Grand Swordfish: This massive specimen can be caught off the platforms near the open ocean water. It is so heavy and strong that Link must be wearing either the Goron Mask or the Fierce Deity Mask to have superhuman strength needed to reel the fish in.

The will of the spirits is of paramount importance in the village. The spirit’s blessing must be secured by young people looking to assume greater responsibility in the clans. Single-handedly catching and returning with a spear nosed sailfish is seen as a particularly auspicious blessing from the most elder of the sea spirits venerated by the people.

Great Fairy Fish: The great fairy fish is the Loch Ness Monster of the Ocean Fishing Hole. Just like Lord Chapu-Chapu in the Swamp Fishing Hole, this fish is not on the poster listing catchable fish. Link must have a fairy fish on the hook to lure the great fairy fish out of hiding. If Link can reel this beauty in, the fishing hole owner will exclaim that Link has caught the queen of the ocean.

The formula for the hundred-year draught is known only to its creator Maestro Xochimilco. Living as proof to the potion’s ability to temporarily stave off the effects of aging, the Maestro is only able to create one vial of the potion every year and keeps every twentieth potion brewed for themself. One of the many rare ingredients needed for the potion is the saliva of an albino Axolotl, which partially explains the Maestro’s vast aquarium of exotic plants and animals.

Ninja Flounder: Apparently, these ocean fish are the devoted pets of the ninja that make their home in the eastern desert canyon far from the ocean. It makes some sense then that when Link wears Garo’s Mask to disguise himself as a member of the Ikana ninja clan, he can catch these stealthy flounders using a sinking lure near the Ocean Fishing Hole’s sunken ships.

This toxic fish is gathered by the coastal ninja clans of Hinnon for the incredibly lethal poison that can be made from its glands. The creation of this poison is dangerous and has been perfected through generations of trial and error by the secretive clans. Those researching the fish should be wary of garnering too much attention, lest you draw the ire of those charged with guarding clan secrets.

We are almost there. Next week is the last post of fish from Majora's Mask 3D fishing holes and also the last post for the entire set of items from Majora’s Mask. That means that next week we will be finishing up with five more lovable fish and the week after that will be a retrospective post with a link to the entire set in one PDF. All the other completed sets can be found here.

Drawtober has been going pretty well. I have made more headway in the last two and a half weeks in the Oracle of Seasons items than I had in the last two months. Fingers crossed that I can be done with at least half of them before October is through.

Please use my work personally as you see fit, but do not profit off my efforts without my consent.

And, as always, be excellent to everyone.
