Green Picolyte: Picolytes are consumable supplements that grant a brief boost to the chance for finding various items based on which picolyte is eaten. Green picolyte increases Link’s chances of finding mysterious shells. These picolytes are available as soon as Link can clear a space for Beedle to open his shop in Hyrule Town.

Mangetout was the dying word of La Chevalier Vert as they grasped your hand in their final moments. Their falling hand left the most peculiar gift in yours, a single snow pea pod. You were supposed to find the knight and get their help, now all you have is a dead knight, a snow pea pod, and the strange command “mangetout”.

Mangetout is French for “eat all” and it refers to snow peas because you can eat the peas and the pod. I learned that because of a very fun song from a very fun band.

The Minish Cap: Blueberries

Blueberries

Blue Picolyte: Picolytes are consumable supplements that grant a brief boost to the chance for finding various items based on which picolyte is eaten. Blue picolyte increases Link’s chances of finding items such as bombs and arrows. Link can only purchase blue picolyte after clearing the carpet in Hyrule Town for Beedle and bringing Mt.Crenel mineral water to the Minish researcher studying the Pico bloom plant.

These are just really nice blueberries. In a world of poised apples, dragon hoards, and destined heroes, a couple of fine berries don’t seem important enough to warrant a second thought. It is their mundanity that makes them so special, a perfectly ordinary thing amidst the supernatural and unexplainable.

Jackie Chan Adventures Collected

The complete set of cards I drew of the talisman from Jackie Chan Adventures.

I deeply enjoyed drawing this set. I loved earnestly sitting with my nostalgia to make something entirely for me.

I may come back eventually and draw the Pan’Ku box, oni masks, or other artifacts, but for now I am content with my set.

If I had all the time, space, and money, I would love to have a vast collection of interesting things like Adam Savage or Guillermo Del Toro, but as I am limited, I instead make collections of drawings. This keeps my hoard economical from a space and a cost perspective. I do spend a lot of time on these projects, but I enjoy the process of creation more than having the final product, so the investment of time is worth it.

Jackie Chan Adventures: Tiger Talisman

Tiger Talisman

Tiger Talisman: The power of the tiger talisman is the power of spiritual balance. When taken alone, the talisman can break a being apart into their equal but opposite halves. When taken as part of the larger collection of talisman, the tiger allows a user to effectively wield multiple talisman at once.

The Twelve Talismans each hold a power that once belonged to one of the original noble animals that were immortalized in the Chinese zodiac. A demonic sorcerer stole the powers for himself and used them to rule over ancient China. His rule was ended by a master chi wizard who sealed the demon’s spirit in a statue and cast the twelve powers into stone talismans to be scattered across the world.
