Contract: Having a well written contract from the beginning can avoid much ugliness at the end of a job where the lack of a terrifying monster convinces some that they don’t need to part with as much coin as they might have said they were willing to.

Drewly 20th brings us to the end of the Witcher item set.  Eighteen items from the world of the Witcher that you could use in whatever sort of adventure you like.

Drewly: Ursine Crossbow

 Ursine Crossbow

Crossbow: A strict traditionalist would never employ a contraption that could just as likely jame as shoot in a hunt. Thankfully we are not strict traditionalists so we can use this crossbow and keep our throwing knives for more desperate times.

The 19th of Drewly already. Crossbows are complicated to draw in perspective and they aren’t necessarily that interesting from a visual standpoint, but they do show up in a lot of fantasy adventures so I try to draw them every once in a while to see how well I can draw a crossbow at that exact time point. I usually end up a bit disappointed and accept that I have plenty of room left to grow.

Drewly: A simple knife.

 A simple knife.

Hunting Knife: Butchering game or collecting trophies is the job for a trusty knife, not a shining sword, and Witchers on the path will use their knife a hundred times before needing their swords.

Drewly 18th is a simple drawing, but those drawing are just as valuable as flashy ones.

Wolf School Medallion: Like the medallion from the VIper school, this silver medallion is enchanted to react to nearby magic and the traces such magic leaves behind.

Drewly: Rune of Igni

 Rune of Igni

Igni Runestone: Inscribed with a glyph of Igni, this runestone allows a Witcher to create larger and hotter flames with the Igni sign.

Drewly 15th is going to get me some well actually’s from Witcher fans. I know Igni isn’t on any runestones in Witcher 3, but I was more interested in a drawing for as many signs as I could rather than making game-accurate item cards.

Drewly: Aerondight

 Aerondight

Aerondight: A silver sword of legend given to only the deserving by the spirit of the water. 

Drewly day 12 gives us an example of why I really enjoy rpg’s with deep item pools. I had no idea where this strange sword’s name came from until I went and researched it after earning it as a reward for a nobility-themed quest given by a person in a lake.

Drewly: Witcher’s Silver Sword

Witcher’s Silver Sword

Silver Sword: The second of the pair of swords carried by Witchers on the path. The silver sword is wielded against magical or supernatural beings that need to be disrupted by the silver to be slain.

 Witcher’s Steel Sword

Steel Sword: The first of the two swords carried by Witchers on the path. The steel sword is carried for dispatching threats that do not require silver to harm. 

The 9th day of Drewly brings us the reason this whole set exists. I’ve been doodling swords for as long as I can remember, and I think I am getting okay at drawing them.

 Witcher bomb

Bomb: This bundle of oil cloth bound in wick thread is the simplest bomb a Witcher is taught to craft in the field. These explosives can be added to and modified to specialize them for many different targets.

Drewly day 5, that’s a full business week down!

 Necrophage Oil

Necrophage Oil: This weapon oil is extremely caustic to those creatures that consume the flesh of the dead. Weapons coated in such oil are especially effective against carrion feeders such as ghouls, drowners, and rotfiends.

Drewly 2024: Swallow potion from the Witcher

 Swallow potion from the Witcher.

Swallow Potion: This potion closes wounds, allowing a Witcher to continue fighting even after serious injury.
