Wind Waker: Aniplasm Fulguris

 Aniplasm Fulguris

Green Chu Jelly: Dropped by slain green chu chus, Link can only collect them when he has a spoils bag. Link can return batches of this jelly to Doc Bandam in exchange for a dose of green potion.

Electro Jellies give a strong shock to any who touch them without proper insulation or grounding. When trying to gather the protoplasm from electro jellies, one should ensure they are guarded against shocks. The jelly can be used to power devices as a naturally occurring battery or to add electric shock to tools and weapons.

----------

This looks more like a slime with bad punky hair rather than an electric jelly.

Summer is unofficially over as August comes to a close. School is starting again and life is always changing, but I will try to be ever-consistent in drawing and sharing my item cards. This has become a touchstone activity for me that really fills my cup and helps me feel taken care of. Thanks to all of you who check in on my work. I hope it brings you joy.

Here’s to a great fall!

Be excellent to everyone.

Wind Waker: Aniplasm Glacialis

 Aniplasm Glacialis

Blue Chu Jelly: Dropped by slain blue chu chus, Link can only collect these once he has a spoils bag. Returning some to Doc Bandam on Windfall Island allows Link to resupply on blue potions during his adventures.

Arctic Jellies concentrate the already considerable cold of the Arctic and can direct it at perceived threats. One should approach such jellies with caution and prepare against extreme cold. The creature’s protoplasm can be used as a coolant in industrial uses or made into cooling balms for medicinal purposes.

The clouds on this drawing make that chu chu look gargantuan.

Be excellent to everyone.

Wind Waker: Aniplasm Igneus

Aniplasm Igneus

Red Chu Jelly: Dropped by slain red chu chus, Link can collect this jelly in his spoils bag. The jelly is needed for Doc Bandam to distill red potions for Link during his travels.

Fire jellies arise during heat waves and droughts. Their ability to spontaneously combust means gatherers should ward themselves against flames before approaching. Fire Jelly protoplasm is a long-lasting fuel source for small flames and can be processed into an extremely effective accelerant for creating large blazes quickly.

----------

I think the fire on this fire chu chu could have been a bit more impressive, but such is life.

Be excellent to everyone.

Wind Waker: Aniplasm Vulgaris.

Aniplasm Vulgaris.

Bonus Chu Chu Jelly: This card doesn’t actually represent an item from Wind Waker. There are three types of chu chu jelly in the game, so I did a default neutral chu chu and then three reskins to represent different elemental chu chus.

Jellies are simple creatures that are often seen grazing in small herds. Aggressive only in self-defense, jellies are content to consume decaying organic matter, minerals, rocks, and even plain dirt. The protoplasm making up jellies is extremely harmonic to elemental energies and as such should be handled with care to avoid catalyzing into an unstable compound.

----------

This is the little chu chu from Breath of the Wild. If memory serves, I was playing Breath of the Wild while I was drawing the Wind Waker items which is why I had those chu chus on my mind. I was also in grad school at the time which means my memory of the whole time is a bit fuzzy.

Be excellent to everyone.
