Ember Seed: Mystical seeds fill the place of the useful magical consumable. Each type of seed is unavailable to Link until he harvests them from a mystical tree for the first time. Ember Trees can be found in Horon Village, but only fruit during the Winter. Link cannot harvest the ember seeds until he has the seed satchel.
Ember seeds burst into an intense flame when cracked open. They can be used to light torches, clear brush, harm enemies, and burn the wrappings of mummies to reveal their skeletal forms.
Each of the stones represents a different fundamental essence. This stone represents the essence of fire, and its true power can only be unleashed by touching it with flame. The powers of all stones must be unleashed together to stop the coming of the great calamity.
Scent Seed: Scent seeds release a strong pheromone that attracts all nearby enemies towards the broken seed. Link can throw them directly from his satchel, or shoot them once he gets the slingshot. Scent seeds are found growing on the Scent Tree in the North Horon region of Holodrum.
I always used these as my primary shooting seed as I never really had need of their monster attracting properties.
In an age long past, the great calamity was stopped before it could rage across the entire cosmos. The stones were gathered together in a hidden temple beneath a stone pyramid. The power of this stone is locked away behind a ward that must be broken with the touch of earth.
Pegasus Seed: Probably the second most useful mystical seed, Pegasus Seeds give Link a dramatic speed boost for a short while when eaten. If the seeds are used as bullets for the slingshot, they freeze enemies they strike. Combing the speed boost of these seeds with the enhanced jumping provided by the Roc’s Feather, Link can clear long gaps.
Link can first harvest Pegasus seeds from the Spool Swamp Pegasus Tree that only fruits in Autumn.
Every eon, the calamity reforms in the deepest reaches of the void, slowly growing more and more powerful until it is an existential threat to all. The time has come again to gather the stones and use their power to scatter the calamity before it can destroy all life. The water stone must be drenched in water to release its energy, but it has to be found first, and the last time anyone saw it was a hundred years ago in the set of the interstellar opera.
Gale Seed: Gale seeds burst into a small tornado when cracked. Link can use this to sweep himself up and travel to any Mystical Tree Link has already visited. In this way, he can warp about Holodrum. When used in the slingshot, the seeds cause most enemies to be blown away by the gale-force winds.
Link first discovers a Gale Tree in the Sunken City bearing fruit during Summer. Another Gale Tree can be found in the depths of the Tarm Ruins. One thing to note is that Gale Trees are the only Mystical Trees in Holodrum that grow in more than one place.
The Order of the Quintessence was responsible for ensuring that the universe never forgot the immortal danger of the calamity or of the weapons that are the calamity’s only weakness. The order has almost completely failed to keep civilization prepared for the destructive nature of the calamity and it has lost all but one of the sacred stones. The air stone’s seal can be broken with something as simple as a strong breath.
Mystery Seed: Mystery seeds are the grab bag of the mystical seeds. When used, either from the satchel or the slingshot, the effect is randomly chosen from one of the other mystical seed effects. The only exception to this use is when mystery seeds are used on the many Owl Statues Link can encounter during his journeys. When used on Owl Statues, the statues briefly come to life and offer Link a bit of helpful advice.
Mystery Seeds grow on the Mystery Tree in the Woods of Winter. The Woods wintry charm is missing when the tree bears fruit in Summer.
The quintessence, the fifth element, is not a primordial element, but the soul of an intelligent living being. This stone acts as the focus for the energies of the other four and must be held by a living being during the ritual that spells doom for the calamity. To free the power of the fifth stone, a living being must willingly sacrifice its own soul, its quintessence, to act as a catalyst that is consumed during the ritual that holds the calamity at bay for another eon.

The Fifth Element is one of those movies that I tend to watch at least once a year. Another movie like that is Starship Troopers. Based on my undying affection for those two movies, it should be very clear that I am a male nerd who was born in the 90’s.
To ensure that there are new movies and shows and other pieces of media that you can eventually enjoy again-and-again, wear a mask, limit your social contacts, and help stop the spread of COVID.
Be excellent to everyone.
