This is the twelfth game in the Zelda franchise I have drawn a complete set of item cards for. You can see every complete set here.
You can download the complete set of individual item cards as well as print ready PDFs at the following links:
I have been at this project a long time and I improved immensely in the course of drawing the roughly 1,200 cards in those first twelve sets. I always look back at the set to see which stands out as my favorites and which ended up missing the mark.
My two favorite drawings out of this set are the match and the birthday candle. I really like the way I approached a burning version of the same object. Also, my kid really likes “blowing out” the double sided cards I printed out and that is worth more than gold.
The cards that really stuck with me for being disappointments were the magic mirror and the water carafe. Metallic objects are still real hard for me, and I’m still pretty disappointed every time I try. Also the face in the magic mirror just didn’t land well.
There are always more items to draw and more cards to share. See you next week for some non-Zelda cards and then we’ll start the Twilight Princess the week after that.
