Not an artist: Five rings from the Oracles games you can use to smuggle tools into a secure location.

Five rings from the Oracles games you can use to smuggle tools where they aren't allowed.

Charge Ring: This ring reduces the time Link takes to charge up his deadly spin attacks. Link can find it randomly throughout his adventures in Holodrum and Labrynna.

There are plenty of places that have a hard no weapons policy. While there are many ways to hide knives and stilettos, hiding swords is another matter entirely. This small ring can magically hide a sword in a pocket dimension that can be collapsed by saying the secret command phrase. Unfortunately, the collapsing pocket dimension tends to fling the blade wildly, so you should only use this in case of an emergency.

Light Ring L-1: Link can discover this ring in a cavern within the Nuun Highlands of Labrynna. It allows Link to shoot sword beams when he is missing up to two hearts instead of having to be at full health to shoot sword beams. For Link to use this ring in Holodrum, he must pass a ring secret between Vasu’s snakes.

Few regular people would consider the light of day an offensive tool, but the vampires of the world must ensure that no light enters their domains. For those that seek to enter such a domain with any hope of leaving, precautions must be taken. This ring slowly stores the sun's light and can release it in a short burst that may give the wearer the chance to escape.

Light Ring L-2: If Link can score 350 or more points in the Lynna Village Shooting Gallery, he will be rewarded with this ring. It is an upgraded version of the Light Ring L-1 and allows for sword beams to be shot when Link is missing up to three hearts. This too can only be passed to Holodrum through ring secrets.

Many high-security storage facilities ensure visitors have no way to drill or bore into any secure storage. Few of these locations have ever seen a ring that appears to be mundane, but when doused in blood, it becomes a self-destructing one-time hole drill that can create an opening as deep as the top of your finger. It may be a bit difficult to complete a heist of losing the amount of blood needed to activate the ring, so we recommend bringing a friend.

Bomber’s Ring: If Link can dance a perfect round of the Goron Dance game in Labrynna, he will be rewarded with this ring. Wearing it allows Link to place two bombs at once time instead of the normal one bomb. As this is exclusively found in Labrynna, it must be passed to Holodrum through ring secrets.

Each of the miniature bombs on this ring contains an arcane charge that can imbue a small object with the explosive force of a mundane grenade. The ring is activated by speaking a specific code phrase and then will transform the next two objects to touch the bombs into improvised explosives. This enchantment is not discerning, so be mindful of what you may bump into.

Green Luck Ring: Once Link has acquired the Long Hook he can find this ring in Mayor Plen’s house in Lynna City. Link can also find this ring in Holodrum’s underworld of Subrosia. Either by following the thieving brothers to their secret hiding spot or by winning it in the Subrosian Dance Hall.

When all your attention needs to be forward, let something else watch your back. This band summons an emergency barrier to block possibly lethal projectiles, but only coming at your back. Rings such as this are frowned upon by honorable warrior codes, but soldiers facing life or death in someone else’s war might not have so many qualms.

----------

While life in the news may be returning to normal, I wanted to ensure that everyone was still aware that there is much work to be done to keep our world moving in a positive direction.

COVID is still a huge problem in many parts of the world, due in no small part to people not taking the correct steps to prevent its spread. Wear a mask, don’t go to large gatherings unless necessary.

Racial injustice is still a huge issue. Just because the world news is talking about it less, doesn’t mean it's not an issue. We all have a responsibility to be anti-racist. Wizards of the Coast seems to be making an effort by working to make their games be less problematic. The “un-fuck” D&D conversation has been going on for a long time.

Lots of male artists and writers have been outed as being sexual predators. Don’t be that kind of person, and don’t sit idly by when people are being harmed by those kinds of people. We all need to do better.

With all that being said, I am hopefully going to get back in the rhythm of normalish posts on here now that I am done with school for the summer. If you just want to see item cards, don’t read after the break.

Be excellent to everyone.
-Ceph
