Four items from Oracle of Seasons that make you a monster.
Zora Flippers: These flippers allow Link to swim in the many waterways of Holodrum. Link must complete the Master Diver’s trial to earn the right to use the flippers. The trial sounds simple enough, return the Master’s Plaque, but that ignores the fact that the plaque is atop a waterfall that Link can only ascend with the help of Dimitri the swimming dodongo. With Dimitri’s help, Link can earn the flippers, and the whole wet world of water is opened to him.
These gloves appear to be silly costume details when not worn. After they are donned, they become stuck on the wearer, transforming the hands into monstrous claws. If the gloves are not somehow removed, they will eventually transform the wearer into a terrifying aquatic monster.
Magic Potion: In the Oracles games, the magic potion fills the same role that the bottled fairy or secret medicine did in previous games. The potion is used automatically to restore Link’s hearts if he ever loses his last heart. Link may only ever carry one bottle of the potion, or maybe he just drinks the potion immediately upon getting it and it stays in his system until he faints. Whatever the truth of the matter is, Link can buy bottles of potion from Syrup’s shop after he has given her the potion’s main ingredient, a giant mushroom. Link can also sometimes find them falling out of Maple’s satchel during his run-ins with the apprentice witch.
Among the effects of the recently departed doctor of unnatural philosophy were notes describing the various elixirs and serum’s they had devised in their self described pursuit of eliminating the evils inherent in all humanity. One serum arrests natural aging, one is among the deadliest poisons ever conceived, and one is only described as the perfected solution. The difficulty is that none of the bottles and vials are labeled, and the doctor’s notes make no reference to the color of each serum.

I am wary of having a new year’s resolution or anything in that mental category because I feel that once the buzz of the new year wears off, so does any enthusiasm towards the resolution. I would however like to be better about some positive lifestyle changes, exercising more, cooking better meals, drawing more frequently, reading more and watching less, etc, and I am going to be ticking off days on the calendar to see how long of positive habit streaks I can maintain. I mention this only to remind people that you can do a lot if you start doing it as a habit. I started drawing as a habit, and I can say I have grown a lot over the past three-four years of regular drawing. I’m not a master artist, but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy making art.
I should probably retire the old, “not an artist” tag, but I’m not sure what to call the zelda items project at this point since it was conceived as a way to practice drawing.
Be excellent to everyone.
